The system and complexity science applied to Smart Cities and Regions can help to solve many highly societally important and complex problems related to: resilience, sustainability, environment and economic development. It has tremendous potential for new developments and practical implementation, multidisciplinary cooperation and partnership.
The group invites the participation of exerts and organizations interested in multidisciplinary research collaboration and cooperation with cities, regions, operators and companies for the topics of Smart Cities resilience, sustainability, economic growth , energy, environment, mobility, others.
The web site of the group will support online registration of the group members and mailing list, on line presentation and exhibition of the group members, exchange of news and information with cities, regions and operators, multidisciplinary research collaboration for new project sand initiatives, establishing partnerships and conferences, vision and road map white paper development.
The research topics of the group included but not limited to:
Systems of system. Resilience and vulnerability: • system of systems concepts, resilience and vulnerability; • socio-technical systems’ concepts, vulnerability assessment, resilience; • systems of systems’ vulnerability; • infrastructure, transport, environmental and health monitoring networks as socio-technical systems of systems.
